Iran played an active role at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025), which ran in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. The event pulled in over a million visitors and 4,000 companies representing 138 countries, leading to trade deals worth a total of USD 83.49 billion. CIIE once again demonstrated why it stands among the world’s most influential trade exhibitions.
Iran made good use of this international stage to highlight its export strengths and economic potential to business leaders and industry professionals from around the globe. The Iran National Pavilion, managed by the Iran Innovation and Technology House in Beijing, came together with support from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Center for Transformation and Progress Cooperation of the Presidency, and the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
More than 40 Iranian companies and 100 business representatives took part, presenting their products and services across sectors like food industries, petrochemicals, consumer goods, and medical equipment. They worked through both the National Pavilion and the Commercial Pavilion.
Iran’s presence at CIIE 2025 opened doors for expanding trade and deepening technological cooperation. It pushed forward the country’s export ambitions and built stronger ties not just with China, but with other international markets as well.
