A technology company has developed a new generation of solar-powered road warning lights using advanced nanotechnology. By replacing the traditional metal housing with high-strength polycarbonate and integrating nano supercapacitor technology, the new design extends the product’s lifespan by up to four times, reduces manufacturing costs by approximately 50%, and significantly lowers the risk of theft by eliminating valuable metal components.
The technology is currently being tested on selected roads in Tehran and has demonstrated strong potential to improve road safety while reducing maintenance costs. It also presents promising opportunities for companies seeking to expand into international markets, particularly China. The Iran House of Innovation and Technology in Beijing (iHiT) supports the introduction of innovative technologies to the Chinese market by facilitating business connections, technology commercialization, and market entry for innovation-driven companies.
