The 8th China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year. As expected, the expo showcased, more than ever, the influence of the Chinese market on the global stage through its remarkable achievements.

In summary, the main outcomes of this expo are:
Unprecedented Attendance: Over one million visitors attended.
Major Deals: Commercial contracts worth USD 83.49 billion were signed.
Global Participation: Over 4,000 companies from 138 countries participated, utilizing an exhibition space exceeding 367,000 square meters.

As the world’s first import-themed national-level exhibition, CIIE has now successfully concluded eight editions with the strong support and active participation of the international community. Key features that have made it a “golden gateway” for global trade include:
The Attraction of China’s Market: The participation of 290 companies from the Fortune Global 500 list, with 180 companies having attended all eight editions, underscores its global importance.
Platform for New Products: More than 461 new products and technologies made their global debut at the expo.
An Expo for All Countries: Beyond its economic dimension, the event also hosted important international gatherings and dialogues. The enthusiastic participation of countries and companies worldwide, alongside the hosting of over 100 side events, reflects its growing global influence. CIIE is not only recognized as a window into China’s new development paradigm but also serves as a platform for high-level openness and a global opportunity for shared benefits among all participants.
The 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum: The 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, with the theme “Openness for New Opportunities, Cooperation for a Shared Future,” was held with the participation of national leaders and senior corporate executives. This forum, which is effectively the opening ceremony of CIIE, is held annually on November 5 in Shanghai, China. At this forum, heads of state from various countries present their global perspectives and discuss global economic governance. It has become a significant platform for dialogue between nations and for exchanges between countries and the international community.

These unprecedented achievements highlight the resounding success of the 8th CIIE and have encouraged more foreign companies to expand their presence in China through this platform. Preparations for the 9th edition are already underway, with over 80,000 square meters of exhibition space already booked.

The Arvand Business Group, as the exclusive organizer for Iran’s participation, had a prominent presence at the 8th CIIE with the support of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Center for International Research and Education (presumably referring to the mentioned Iranian center), and the Iran Chamber of Commerce. More than 40 Iranian companies and 100 economic and trade activists showcased their products and services in various fields such as food industries, petrochemicals, consumer goods, and medical equipment within the National Pavilion and Commercial Pavilion.
